6 Spots To Sip Coffee, Hang Out + Eat In Kitsilano

I’m biased because I live here, but Kitsilano is my favourite area in Vancouver.  Quiet neighbourhoods, the beach is steps away from your door and there is no shortage of amazing spots to hang out at. Here are 6 of my fav spots to hang out in Kits!  Did I miss your go-to? Throw them in the comments below.

AU COMPTOIR

A classic Parisien cafe in the heart of Kits. This is one of my favourite bars to sit at for a delicious espresso…and don’t even get me started about the cookie that comes with it.

From brunch to dinner and sit in coffees in between, this is a cute little spot to share a nice moment with friends.

THEIR THERE

This new spot has quickly become my favourite window to sit at in Kits. The coffee is amazing, the bakery is unreal and the decor and vibes in there are to die for. It’s about time we got something like this in the area!

2042 West 4th Ave

TURF

If you’re looking for a spot to post up with your laptop in Kits, this is one of the very few.  TURF describes themselves as “community-loving” and full of possibility…and it’s so spot on. You can hit up TURF for an amazing menu of healthy foods, a ass-kicking workout or a cute shop full of great finds.

This spot has definitely become a staple in the kits community.

KOKOMO

“Good Vibes You Can Taste” and this second location in Kits makes it way too easy to fuel my addiction. This all fresh and fun spot features plant based bowls for all times of the day served by friendly staff that are all about community.

Recommended: Kokomo Acai Bowl + the Coco Whip. Actually everything. Everything is so damn good.

2028 Vine St.

BE FRESH

Another classic community spot to get some work done and find some healthy eats. There are few places in the area that serve a Bulletproof coffee, and this one is delicious.

Other recommendations: get the avocado smash and do your local grocery shop here.

1900 West 1st Ave

49TH PARALLEL & LUCKY’S DONUTS

A great spot to enjoy the best kind of bad choices with their fine selection of freshly baked donuts. This always-bustling cafe works directly with farmers who share the same ambition and commitment to coffee.

It’s probably one of my favourite patios for a Sunday morning..or anytime really.

2198 West 4th Ave.

I love sweet treats my favourite is the almond croissant, I’ll definitely give AU COMPTOIR a try on my way to Organic Thai spa in Kitsilano next week
